Take advantage of your interview

Your interview: Seize the opportunity (2)

You prepared your list of references and made sure to have additional copies of your résumé on hand before you left for the interview. You are freshly showered and well-dressed (wearing the typical style of dress for this job, with an added touch), and your hair is styled neatly. You carefully planned your schedule and your route to avoid being late.
You arrive at least 10 minutes early and, from the moment you step through the door, you think of your interview as having already begun. Know that as soon as you arrive, your potential employer and the staff will be forming their opinion of you.
You enter the interview room. Now is the time to present your proposal. Treat the interview as a dialog between the employer and you, but remember that the employer sets the pace and tone of the conversation. Employers appreciate enthusiastic and well-informed candidates. Make sure that you understand the question correctly before giving your answer. Provide complete answers, supported by concrete examples.
Mention your potential contributions to the company. Paint a positive and specific picture of what you could accomplish.
Be prepared to respond to objections or difficult questions. Your success in an interview often depends on your ability to play up your strengths.

Good luck to you!
